Fully funded NPQs in DfE priority areas

£10million has been set aside to support teachers and leaders in challenging areas to access the reformed National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) for school leaders.

Outstanding Leaders Partnership (with Best Practice Network) can offer fully-funded NPQs (subject to DfE funding limits) to candidates working in a school in an Opportunity Area (OA) or a Category 5 or 6 area. Anyone in these areas who does not already hold the NPQ for which they are applying and has not have previously dropped out before completing it may apply.

To avoid missing out we encourage interested schools and candidates to register now. We offer the programmes across the country and can also discuss your school becoming a hub for local delivery in your area.

Other criteria will additionally be applied if the scheme is oversubscribed. The total value of the NPQ scholarships is £10million, payable in each of the financial years 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2019-2020.
